Happy KyouHaba day! As some of you may know, a bunch of us have gotten together (a little last minute) to create something special for KyouHaba this year. Beautiful Tension is a free unofficial fanzine dedicated to one of our favorite ships that brings together twenty-six artists, writers, and even a cosplayer in a 220 page digital zine! With 13 illustrations, an entire cosplay photoset, and over 50k words created just for this event, we hope you enjoy! And please remember to spread the love to our lovely contributors who were working on a rather tight deadline, they deserve it~!

Hello fellow writer of fanfiction. What's your favorite fanfiction you are currently working on and what was the inspiration for it?

Anyways out of the current ones it is really hard to choose but given that the ask is a bit older I’ll cheat a little and make it “Rise of a King” (on Ao3).

It’s an Alternative Sports AU which I created for the Haikyuu Olympics Big Bang and the inspiration just... appeared - I was torn between this and another pitch but I decided on the IwaOi story because at that time these characters just came to me more easily.

Matsukawa Issei is not a morning person and yet he is consistently awake well before 7 am because there is a small, smelly butt depositing itself on his face with an almost innocent, little ‘mrrrow’. A butt that belongs to a cat he most assuredly did not ask for. A cat that hates him. With a grunt and a curse, he shoves at the hell-beast attempting—and somehow succeeding—to steal both his alcove apartment and his lover.
