I’ve been itching to write something again for CRASH, and the new episode kinda gave me the kickstart energy for it,

So I present a Christmas fic!

The title is pretty self explanatory, so I shan’t need say nothing more.

There’ll hopefully be 8 chapters, and I really hope you enjoy!!

Changes I’d make to the Pale Garden with it getting fleshed out:

- Before even getting into Resin, there’s one big problem with how the fanbase has taken to neutralizing the Creaking, namely putting it in a hole in order to ensure it can’t get to you. I personally think this is too cheap and there’s some avenues you could take to prevent doing this BUT. Here’s my suggestion:

- Make it so that, whenever a grass or dirt block is broken in the pale garden at night, it slowly starts to regrow into the new Dead Moss.

- Whenever the Creaking knows a players presence but is unable to reach the player by any means, have the Creaking instead dig into the ground and sprout back out via Dead Moss somewhere else closeby like the warden almost. That’s all I managed to come up with tho but they both felt very fitting for the Pale Garden.

- Secondly, the Resin. Ooouuughh the resin. I love the idea but I think it’s a bit TOO Renewable. I love how it’s generated, but I think Mojang should tweak it a bit, with this being the general idea:

- Have it so the first two hits don’t actually generate more Resin, but the next 3 do. As you hit the Creaking more, it begins to “warp” or even leak resin more, as if getting more unstable, and after the third hit it just starts attacking you regardless of if you are moving or not. I think that would be sick in all fairness!!

- I also think we should also give the player a reason to actually collect this Resin, outside of just building blocks. Thus I propose to you… The Pale Lantern! It requires being fed Resin in order to burn it off to power it, but when doing so it may interact with the Pale Garden in a way that makes it safer to live in? Dunno entirely with this one but I think this is the perfect avenue to take with it.
