im sorry but zendaya and tom holland should not be in the odyssey. that sounds like casting a fifteen year old would make

people expecting that a movie about the creator of a thing that killed thousands of people and threatens human existence to this day should have the same levels of "hype" and fun as a movie about a doll is exactly why I think tumblr would be the perfect place for twitter people to migrate to if that hell hole eventually goes under.

and not to mention the tag about a lack of diversity, I mean... just read the other post I attached.

Guess who finally watched Oppenheimer?

Yes, you're right. It's me. My suffering is over now, that I've finally seen it

I thought, I'd share some of my thoughts again. Probably nobody will care, but I don't care either and I like movies and maybe other people do too:)

First of all. The obvious. Cillian fucking Murphy. This man is such a genius. He's literally one of the best actors that we've seen in the past years. The passion this man has, he literally becomes the role. I've seen it again and again in his acting but what he did in Oppenheimer Was astonishing.

The sound design of the movie was mind blowing. Combined with the stylistic device ls that they used, like Oppenheimers visions and everything. It was fucking genius. I don't think people realize how important music and sound are for movies. Music gives the scene the emotion and I tell you, those 20 minutes before the scene with the bomb testing, my heart was pounding like crazy. Which brings me to the next point

The emotions in this movie. So fucking insane. The emotions this movie gives you as a watcher is insane. I think many people still don't know enough about the history. Especially that of the second world war. This may be a bit off topic, but what is happening these days politically, especially in the USA is close to how it started in Nazi Germany. And it's terrifying. And I think this movie portrays perfectly that we can never ever let something like the second world war or the detonation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki happen again. That is perfectly portrayed, especially with the regrets that Oppenheimer had in the end. It just shows how important our history is

Now a bit back to the movie. As always gotta talk about RDJ. But not only about him. I think every single actor and actress did their job perfectly. I've already talked about Cillian Murphy but I gotta repeat how insane this acting was

All in all, I am just flabbergasted by this movie. We've waited so long for it and it was worth it. It was absolutely worth it and I think it's a movie everyone should see because it's not only a cinematical masterpiece but is also about one of the (still) most important topics of humanity
