Yulia Tymoshenko is questionable political figure in general btw just saying. But she's also more often than not becomes a victim to ukrainian meme space so it is just one of the moments why it is so wow to see her being mentioned in the musical.

Sidenote: shared ukrainian gen z childhood experience was to root for and to ask adults to vote for her just because she's the only woman (can't say for everyone but it's very close)

Cardverse AU

Hi y'all! I've been working on this AU for almost a month now, so I really hope y'all like it as much as I do!

A basic explanation is that Cardverse is an AU based on the 4 card suits. Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, and Clubs.

There are usually 3 major roles like the cards, Kings, Queens, and Jacks. There are also Jokers but i haven't drawn them yet

I decided to split the choir all up based on their connections, and I wanted to add Tammy and Ezra too just to make them all an even 12

Details of my eternal brainrot below:

First of all, they're all organized by rank but if you see the colors, they're already assigned to one of the 4 card suits: Blue and Purple shades for Spades, Pink and Red for Hearts, Orange and Yellow for Diamonds, and every shade of green for Clubs.

They all have marks all over their body to identify their ranks, the card suits also have traits:

•Kings are primarily in charge of both the kingdom and are the generals of their own armies

•Queens are in charge of the kingdom's navy, they check and balance for the king's decisions, and can basically rule on their own as a Queendom if the king is not found yet. Usually Queens are from aristocracy/one family line but in some special cases, they're also commoners

•Jacks are in charge of the finances and policies of the kingdom, they also check and balance the king's decisions like the queen, and also work as ambassadors for other kingdoms

•the role of the joker is kinda conflicting but some portray them as evil trickster gods set on causing chaos throughout the kingdoms, some believe they're there to keep order in the kingdoms, the common thing is that they're rarely seen and have been there since like...forever

•The Black joker can see back into the past, they watch over Spades and Clubs

•The Red joker can see into the future, they watch over hearts and diamonds

•King - Ocean { left wrist}

•Queen - Constance { right cheek}

•Jack - Ricky {back of left hand}

Diamonds: Wealth

•King - Hank {right palm}

•Queen - Astrid {left palm}

•Jack - Trishna {neck}

•King - Mischa {right hip}

•Queen - Noel {back of right shoulder}

•Jack - Corey {right calf}

i've talked ab this au in an earlier post but yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ basically everyone lives but penny doesn't know she's penny so she's just jane doe instead... it's going to be very self-indulgent but it kinda grabbed me by the brain and mixed some stuff up so i MIGHT add this one thing in but i'm not sure if i'll add it here or make a separate fic for it 🧍

the ships would be nischa blackrose and spacedolls BUT it would be a slow build up (i hope)

i need to talk about fall fair suite.

2 big things i noticed about it:

they're singing about the fall fair and they get to the part "when the fall fair comes- fall fair comes-" where it glitches out IT GOES TO "when the fall not fair" WHICH IS SO GENIUS I LITERALLY THOUGHT OF IT LIKE TWO MAYBE THREE DAYS AGO AND I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD bc it's a play on the words fall fair which is the fair that takes place in autumn but then they're singing about the drop "when the fall" as in the derailing and falling from the loop "not fair" because it's unfair/unjust that they are going to die before living out their lives and ocean especially keeps this sentiment throughout the show as in not seeing her death as "fair" esp since they weren't able to live out their lives

right when they're doing the part "like our far from the city little itty-bitty pretty hometown just a teeny tiny dot on a wee blue ball and we've all been spinning all been spinning round" IDK IF THIS WAS INTENTIONAL OR NOT but i just have intense imagery of like it (the "camera" for lack of a better word) zooming out to reveal like the solar system bc they're on a "wee blue ball" aka earth that's spinning in orbit as well as spinning in general and right now they're also spinning out of control because the cart derailed and now everything's spinning which is kinda a theme where everything's all scrambled like with mischa earlier "where's the sky and where's the ground" and also "pushing forward pulling back" and "you don't know up from down" (and also the alliteration(?) for city little itty bitty pretty makes me AHKSLDJKLDF)

so what. what if- what if i accidentally changed my entire artstyle (idk how it happened)

i CAN NOT GET THAT ONE MOMENT OUT OF MY MIND AGHELWKJAFDSKLHDGSKLAJKL i am. losing my mind over this musical.

omg so i rewatched rtc 2016 off broadway for like the third/fourth time today and i was like noticing a few new things (also i took like cough 157 cough screenshots of the parts i really liked/the choir being dorks BUT THAT'S IRRELEVANT)

some things i noticed:

when ocean was first dragging ocean away for the bsf part of her monologue constance said "ocean she's looking at me-" or smth (someone actually mentioned this in a comment i saw on a yt video and i was like "OMG!!")

AFTER NOEL'S LAMENT JANE DOES THE "fornication under consent of the king" AND NOEL IS LIKE USING HIS FINGER TO GESTURE FOR CONSTANCE TO JOIN THEM AND GET AWAY FROM HER AND I THOUGHT THAT WAS LAKDSFJLK like first of all pls be nice to jane second of all I NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE?

AFTER SUGAR CLOUD THE THREE OTHER PRODUCTIONS I'VE SEEN HAVE OCEAN GOING "i'm sorry" AND THEN CONSTANCE AND OCEAN HAVE THEIR MOMENT i thought that was an added thing right but when i was watching it this time around i noticed OCEAN MOUTHS THE WORDS "i'm sorry" BEFORE THEY DO THE FOREHEAD THING DON'T TALK TO ME

CONSTANCE GRABS MISCHA'S HAND WHILE OCEAN IS GOING ON HER ENDING MONOLOGUE they're bffs <33 THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS EVERYTHING TO ME.

Fun fact when you sent this originally I was thinking about that. So here’s them and some explanations :))

Mischa was easy because he had something that could replace his head in hand but nobody else had anything sooo I had to give ‘em stuff teehe

Ricky- an action figure doll head :)) he would obviously have a ton. I imagine when he was younger he drew on it a lot so that’s where the colorful bits came from.

Noel-marionette esque thing? Just feels like a doll he would own honestly. I think he would’ve wanted it look look a little like Monique but still like him because it’s fun yknow.

ocean-instead of a doll her head was replaced by a character from an illustration in one of the books she had. Plus 10 points if you can guess the character teehee

Constance- I was thinking for some reason that instead of completely losing her head it just got super messed up in the rollercoaster so nobody could identify her. And you cannot tell me she would have gotten a cute bear plushie from one of the carnie games. So part of that bear was just attached to her.
