Plant portrait- Spring Hiking in the High Desert:
A Poem:
Sight beyond blockades of place, time, space/
now asks how
beyond the bow of life & strife
& knife cuts/spreads & deheads
my bed of soft hugging, all encompassing,
depth of night vision.

Beautiful woven grid design. Rich brown color. Perfect for home decor.
Made to retain the wet feel of clay, it feels alive, soft and yet its ceramic- it takes real skill & artistic sense to be able to do this with clay. The artist left a few carefully places finger marks to further enhance its handmade and pliable feel. This artists intention is to make something a factory never could, that is truly unique, brings inspiration and natural beauty into the lives of those with live with it. She achieved these goals with this piece. Even the grud pattern is hand drawn, revealed in slight irregularities. These irregularities feel natural to us because the natural world is perfect yet irregular. There is a quiet comfort found looking at a piece like this.
Looks amazing with fresh fruit or veggies or nuts or your car keys! in limes, tangerines, walnuts in shells, odds n ends. Etc….
Can go in your dishwasher & microwave- but was not intended to be eaten off of. Low fire earthenware- rich read colors. Embossed Grid pattern, surface is sealed with refined slip (terra sigilatta) and burnished & then a black mineral slip accentuates the embossed pattern.

Full of chasing-
ideas. emotions. desires. vision….
Re-gur-gi-t-tion.
of them, vile- acidic- half digested…..

‘Whispers of the day’ part 1

the moment between,
the sun setting and moon rising.

Meet Mancha!
A GEM of s dog up for adoption from the Santa Fe Humane Society Shelter. They think she is about 6 years old. Some of her breeds are Aussie & blue heeler and & magic! Lol
I volunteer at the shelter and sometimes get to take them hiking. I spent 2.5 hours with Macha and wish I could adopt her!
She is incredibly soft. She has good leash skills and manners. She did well in the car & let me pick her up. She sets a great pace and did not waiver for a 5 mile hike. Unless I asked her to stop for a pause & she did. She is incredibly intelligent, sensitive and loving. I could see her getting deeply intune with her human. She deserves a peaceful , loving life- with an active human who will spend their days with her. She is too intelligent and loving to leave home alone. Her ability to learn - i have only known one other dog who learned that quickly and easily. A once in a lifetime dog.
And she has a big heart shape on her side!!! And an even bigger heart inside :)

Japanese Wood-fired Stoneware Dish. Wabi-Sabi style. Alfred Grad. New
Ceramic Fine Art. Wood ash, flashing slips, anagama fired, high fire stoneware. Hand made utilizing multiple techniques.
Can go in microwave or dishwasher- but not designed for eating out of bc the surface is rough- but you can! Its intended to be enjoyed on its own as a sculptural vessel, or looks superb filled with walnuts in shells, limes, cumquats or other such items.
Signed by artist. Artist: university trained, published, exhibited, still alive. Made limited amount of work in this design line. It is one of a kind.
Dimensions approx: 8 x 5.5 x 3 inches.
I love this piece. The subtlety of this design is delicious to look at & hold. The lengthy ancient firing process is evidenced in its dynamic surface & beautiful ash glaze.
Rustic beauty, timeless design.
This piece from beginning to end took approx 40 hours of the artist time. No offers will be considered unless they are higher than the asking price.
