Random Drawing: My Favourite Duo!!!

I was browsing for Furlanetto’s photo when suddenly came across this gem (bottom pic) OMG!!! I never see photo of him and Ramey together. I always like their Don Giovanni-Leporello dynamic. SO FUNNY!

So I decided to draw both of them together with today’s clothes (not exactly, lol) and I love how it turned out! So cute! Hohohoho… Will post on my instagram and perhaps Deviantart, too!

Random Drawing: Don Giovanni and Leporello, Ramey and Furlanetto are the best! I loooove their dynamics. Don G is playful and menacing (with dem Ramey evil grin lol) while Leporello is awkward but also cynical. 

So these are the steps I (usually) took when drawing:

1. Doodling on my drawing book

2. Rough sketching (If necessary. I did this on this particular drawing because the doodle is not “moving” and “exaggerated” for me)

3. Making clean lineart

4. Putting some flat colors

5. Sitting on my chairs in front of my laptop, reciting magical spells (JK, lol)

I want to make the BG with statue of commendatore with glowing eyes, but couldn’t really get the idea yet. Hehehe

Currently obsessed with Furlanetto singing Prince Gremin’s aria!!!

Not only a great basso, FF is also a wonderful actor! I really like how he reflects his deep and sincere love towards his far-younger wife, Tatjana and how he cares a lot about her, even in small meaningful gestures. Like one moment towards his last scene where he tenderly forbids Tatjana to light a cigarette. OW MAN! It tickles something that had long been dormant in me (thanks Hvorostovsky scene from Met’s Eugene Onegin). This Gremin is strong, straightforward (seen from how he acts toward people he hates during his aria), but also vulnerable (from how he describe the love for Tatjana that has been consuming himself), and acts as fatherly figure. Just AAAAAAWWWWWWWW~~~

RANDOM ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR EXERCISE

Weeks ago, I interviewed for a job which required the employee to be able to make info graphics (for economic data). I, a Adobe Photoshop-know-a bit, learned few tricks in Adobe Illustrator (Ai) just to be able to pass the interview (and I was hoping I could work as required). But alas, at the interview I COMPLETELY FORGOT to show my skill at all. I was so nervous I even forgot to at least show my Photoshop skills (using random cartoon I drew over the past few years), even though the interviewer keep asking me if I am familiar with any of the applications. I failed the interview.

Not wanting the same thing happen again, I made this as an exercise using random funny data (lol) and put it here in case I need to show someone about my Ai skill.

I learned basics of Ai from Youtube (check TastyTuts. Awesome lessons!) for like 4-5 days then some week later (today) I decided to make one. I really like how this info graphic turn out! :D
