The past is Present

  Before you moved you and Daniel had the toughest relationship, first you grew as friends, then best friends, then lovers..... it was hard for you moving away from someone you loved and trusted.

  Daniel took it hard too, if not harder. He feel in deep, from the moment he saw you he fell deeply in love. He knew he wanted to be with you for the rest of his life.... but things don't always go the way you want them to.

After you moved Daniel stayed in his room more, didn't associate with anyone at school, barley talked to his mom, and even quit karate.

It had been more than 20 years before you came back. You bought an apartment close by to a job you had recently applied for. The pay was excellent and you wanted to move, at least closer to home.

Even after 20 years you still missed home, you never forgot about Daniel. In fact you only had few relations and they never lasted long. You were still caught up on Daniel, and you always would be.

You didn't know how he was doing, if he had a wife, or family but you knew he was doing good. He started his own car company which you were proud of.

You knew that Daniel had been into fixing cars ever since you met him and Mr. Miyagi. You had also learned some karate, Mr. Miyagi taught you karate as well plus you watched and studied him teaching Daniel so you knew the moves.

  One thing you were looking for but not, you needed a new car. The only one who you really trusted with vehicles was Daniel. But you were scare that he would not know you or if he had a family. Not that you would mind but it would be weird for you.

  With a sigh you look up to see the LaRusso sign on the building. You knew there was another auto park, which was Cole something but you wouldn't dare trust someone you didn't know with your cars.

  Taking a deep breath you put your hand on the door, pausing for a second before entering. The room smelt like fresh cars and almost lemon cleaning supplies.

  A man that you recognize comes walking towards you or was Daniels cousin Louie. He stops for a second in shock, while you stand there bashfully.

  "Hey Louie" you say stuffing your hands in your pockets.

  "Y/n?" He questions.

  You nod your head "it's me" you chuckle at his shocked expression.

  He rushes towards you and pulls you into a tight hug, you hadn't remembered the last time Louie was like this. He always acted tough and playful towards everyone.

"It's nice to see you to" you joke at his antics.

  He pulls away "we've missed you, you should have seen how broken Daniel was when you moved he-" Louie confesses before someone interrupts him.

  "Louie what's taking so long?" You knew that voice, it was Daniel.

  You hadn't known what you were going to do when you saw him, you had no plan you simply just had to go with the flow.

  Louie moves out the way to reveal yourself, it seems like everything stops for Daniel as he sees his first love, that he never did get over and never will.

  "Y/n...." He says as his heart skips a beat.

  "Hi Daniel" you say bashfully feeling your cheeks heat up.

The stunned expression stays on his face as he walks up to you completely, "it’s been a while" you comment.

"It’s been to long...." Daniel states as Louie awkwardly walks away.

"So I came to buy a car" You start "- and see how you were" You finish.

"Oh- um of course!-" He claps his hands together before leading you over to some style cars he knew you’d like.

"So we here we have a Honda Accord with a 192-hp turbocharge, in both black, white, and red" he says pointing to the row of Honda’s.

"I like the white one" You comment as you study the out side of it.

"We’ll do you want to test drive it? I have time" Daniel asks as he holds up the keys in hand.

"That would be great Daniel" You smile.

"Okay great" He smiles as his do brown eyes pierce through yours.

Daniel hands you the keys and as he does so your hands touch, that same spark that was there at each touch once there again.

This causes you both to make eye contact before you clear your throat awkwardly "I think to drive a car we need to get in it" You joke, just like old times.

Daniel smiles and nods his head as he gets into the passengers side while you get in the drivers side, starting up the car.

You pull out of driveway and into the highway, it was silent at first the car drove good. But if you were totally honest you weren’t really paying attention to how smooth or good the car drove.

All you could feel and think about was Daniel gazing at you, of course you could see him out of your peripheral vision and you could feel the heat of his familiar stare.

"So... any family?" You asked as you take a right turn.

"Oh um- yeah actually I have a... wife Amanda, and a daughter Sam, and then there’s Anthony my son" Daniel comments, feeling something he’s never felt before.

"lucky girl" You say keeping your eyes on the road.

You didn’t know how to feel hearing about his family, you knew if he did it would hit hard. As it did, but you mostly felt happy for him. He got a life he always wanted.

Daniel couldn’t help but look at you, it felt all to soon. Of course he loved Amanda but he never stopped thinking about or loving you.

The love you had was just rare, "and what about you? Any lucky guy?" He asks trying to keep the conversation going.

You shake your head "none that were right for me" You say stoping at a red light, finally look at Daniel.

"He would’ve been a lucky guy" He comments randomly.

It was like there was a pull so strong that neither you nor Daniel could control. It was like someone was pushing you both together, until your lips met.

The kiss, his kiss was everything you remembered it was. It was filled with love, passion, and trust. Though it has been more than twenty years, you never forget your first love sometimes you never get over them.

You both pull away, breathless as Daniel leans his head on yours lovingly.

"I’ll take the car"

Every Cobra Kai Character's Signature Weapon

A few CK characters have weapons they're associated with because they use them the most, Sam has the bo staff, Tory has nunchucks (and a katana that one time), Chozen has sais, Terry has a katana, etc etc. I was wondering, what if other characters had signature weapons? I decided to try and base them off of their personalities and fighting styles as I made my guesses. Without further ado, here we go:

Miguel - Miguel is generally one of the more balanced fighters in the game, leaning more towards offense than defense in a straight-forward, fast-paced style, so if I was to give him a weapon, it would probably be daggers or escrima sticks. Daggers would give him the quick, aggressive offense while also allowing a good bit of strategy and countering, while the escrima sticks have basically the same perks with slightly less damage, but more defense.

Robby - Robby has possibly the most balanced style in the series, with equal parts offense and defense, so a weapon that matches that is pretty easy to find. I think Robby would do amazingly with tonfa, it provides an amazing defense while also enhancing Robby's punches with the part of the stick above the handle. Tonfa in general are underrated weapons honestly.

Demetri - Demetri's almost pure defense, but what a lot of people don't seem to notice is his range. Being as tall and lanky as he is allows him to beat the shit out of you from slightly longer away than the rest of his peers, so a good weapon to reflect that would be a three-section-staff. It'll allow him to block and keep you away until he needs to counter, lock you in, and wail on you.

Hawk - Eli's a pretty offensive fighter, same as Miguel, but what I took into account for this is that he's kind of just inescapable. His fighting style involves running down his opponent, a complete rushdown, so I think a nice weapon for him would be a rope dart. He can swing it around ruthlessly with powerful speed, or use it to yank your ass all the way across the field to him.

Devon - Devon's fighting style, like Hawk's, revolves around offense, but she's also quite quick, so I think a decent weapon for her would be a wakizashi, allowing her to do good damage fast. Honestly, her fighting style isn't anything new so it wasn't easy to give her a unique weapon.

Kenny - Kenny's fighting style, however, is interesting because it's almost entirely composed of punches and arm-based moves. This kid is giving out haymakers like they're jolly ranchers in a playground. So I decided to give him a singular metal gauntlet. Yes, just one, he doesn't need two. This will give him a good edge to his punches while leaving a free flexible hand for grabs and such.

Now, I don't think the senseis would willingly use weapons, but if they were to, Johnny would use an axe or a tomahawk and Daniel would also use tonfa.

Cobra Kai Christmas special except there’s no karate, it’s just Miguel and Kenny clamoring to find Robby a Christmas present because they have no idea what he would want for Christmas

Johnny on Instagram Live two days after Miguel taught him how to do it: Y'all ever heard of bussies? Carmen in the next room: huh? Johnny: I'll tell you what, I tried it for the first time the other day. LOVED it. Miguel, watching in school: Oh my god, we need to tell him. Robby, laughing so hard he's suffocating: Don't you DARE. Johnny: Didn't think I would, but I love bussies. Amanda: Oh dear. Daniel: What's wrong, it's a decent place. Amanda: *whispers in Daniel's ear* Daniel: OH- Johnny: Big fan of bussies now. Silver: At least the blonde has good taste. Kreese: Maybe if he wasn't mispronouncing the name of the gas station. Silver:...gas station? Johnny: Real friendly place, they told to come inside, I did. Tory: Okay, why's my boyfriend suffocating himself? Miguel: *shows Tory the live* Tory:....HA- Johnny: Had the time of my life, I actually left for a minute, came inside again, just as much fun the second time around. I'll be honest, I'll probably stop for a bussies every time I see one from now o- Devon, crashing through the window: STOP-

The Hawksona

Hawk: Everybody meet...The FALCON! Miguel:...what? Demetri, shirtless and salty beyond belief: *steps into the room with wild orange tipped hair and a huge tattoo of a firey falcon on his back* Miguel:...what? Demetri: I lost a bet. Robby: What was the bet? Hawk: Weeeeell-

A few weeks ago

Demetri watching Bowser black flash the shit out of Eggman: NOOOOOOOOO! Hawk, who 100% rooted for Bowser: YEEEEEEEES!

Now

Demetri: And now I have a Hawksona. Hawk: The FALCON. Demetri: I hate you. Hawk: You love me.

Everyone, completely silent and astonished:

Tory:...I want a Hawksona. Everyone else: *murmurs of agreement*

What miyagi do's do for helping Miguel:- Arrange a car wash fundraise for helping him financially and her mother don't go on debt.

What Cobras do for Miguel:- Get revenge on miyagi do's by bullying them(and apparently thinks that Miguel will be thankfull for that and should appreciate that)

And people have guts to tell miyagi do's are the bullies 🤣🤣

Robby Season 4-5 rewrite

I'm honestly so peeved that they didn't let Robby win a tournament at least once. In season 4, Miguel was going to crack his hip anyways, so Robby should've won that fight with Hawk. And then have Sam win for Miyagi-do.

I'm mainly saying this because Hawk had been pissing me off. He's gotten away with being a bully, and was still a bully even when he was with Miyagi-do. He saw Kenny backing away from the 2 boys at the movie night (forgot their names), and still assumed Kenny was up to something. He still went out of way to try to intimidate Kenny. I was so satisfied when Kenny gave him the quicksilver method.

Sorry, I'm getting off track. Robby should've won at least once, and in his match with Hawk. Even though it's cliche, it would've been a fun little 'balance' thing. Robby and Sam, once lovers, are on opposite sides which. The tournament ends in a tie.

And then have him discover it was rigged. Afterwards, Robby remains in Cobra Kai so that he can watch over Kenny, but Silver can smell that Robby is becoming disillusioned. This not only puts Robby on thinner ice, but sets up some interesting dialogue between him and Silver. Maybe also Daniel. Robby was Miyagi-do first, so it's easier for him to break out of control.

Robby tries to juggle his home life with his Cobra Kai life. Accepting Miguel as his stepbrother, but must deal with the constant questioning of his fellow Cobras. "You two are cool now?"

Tory can still do her John Kreese side quest depending on whether Robby tells her about Terry. Knowing how loyal she is to Cobra Kai, and how far she's willing to go, there's no telling if she'll be on his side.

Miyagi-Do Theory

I theorise that a lot of Mr Miyagi's teachings revolve around his own experiences, or are fuelled by them. I think that the tradition of passing it from father to son had to do with a father wanting to protect his son from the horrors of the world. I believe each son (and daughter?) experienced some kind of hardship, and learned from it. Yes, their father probably preached to them, but they didn't understand what was being preached until they went through it themselves.

The Miyagi-Do way is tied to living and learning. It's why the training process is doing basic everyday chores as a routine, instead of outright practising moves from the first jump. It is why peace and balance is so important to them.

I think rebellion plays a role in this as well. In the 3rd film, Daniel is being harassed and assaulted by Mike Barnes, so he wants to be retrained. Mr Miyagi is against it, so Daniel rebels against him and trains with Silver. Mr Miyagi forgives Daniel and then agrees to retrain him.

Mr Miyagi was against the tournament, but gave in once he saw for himself how severe Daniel's situation was. I'm pretty sure he had his suspicions, and went to the dojo to investigate for himself.

I think what happened here is that Mr Miyagi could see where this was going. Following the Sekai Taikai storyline, he probably met plenty of competitors like Mike Barnes in his time. I believe that's why he was against using karate for tournaments. There's no point wasting your life away competing in a sport that you will always look over your shoulder for. Once you lose after getting so close to the top, you will begin to lose yourself. That almost happened with Mike.

If we're really going to be real about it, we should address that he killed his opponent. Going back to the fight with Sam and Tory for the captain spot, Daniel rightfully stops the fight whereas Johnny says it should've continued because it was what Tory 'needed'. Anyone with a brain should know that what Johnny said wasn't correct.

Grief does not belong in competition. Mr Miyagi lost his wife and son during his enlistment. He left Okinawa, was fighting for his life in a war, and lost his wife and child. What does he do? Goes to the deep end. After becoming a thief, he might as well get into fights, right? Joined the Sekai Taikai, and look how that ended? All that frustration and anger he had at the world ended with someone's death.

I headcanon that this event was a turning point to him turning back to his ancestral teachings.

The other side of Miyagi-do is rooted in rebellion.

Rebellion can come in all kinds of ways. It can be extreme, or even the small stuff. Mr Miyagi told Daniel that one day he would make his own karate. This gives the idea that each Miyagi son made it adaptable to fit themselves. Yes, they all have the same lesson, but how they use it will be different.

One example that I will bring up is that the Capoeira we have now is different to one that was created centuries ago. It is a martial art from Congo that the Brazilian slaves had to disguise as dancing. Break dancing was inspired by Capoeira. Like a language, it changes over time.

Mr Miyagi trained Daniel and Julie Pierce even though neither of them were his children (biologically). Thing is, Miyagi-do wasn't supposed to be taught to anyone outside the family, maybe not even to women (considering how sexist things were back then). Mr Miyagi requested his father make an exception for Sato. Sato went on to teach it to Chozen.

Thus, the balance of Miyagi-do. Peace and rebellion. Going against conformity, tradition, and living a life of learning. Yeah, that's all I got for this essay.
