Rant about Indian liquorice because I love poison.
Indian liquorice is also known as Abrus precatorius and is a plant from the Fabaceae family, making it's most famous relative beeeaaannnzzz. It used to only exist in India but every tropical country has loads of this shit now.
The seeds, roots, bark and leaves contain a very Funny Substance™ that's one of the strongest poisons in the world.
Now let's say that hypothetically this liquorice got into the food of a person you coincidentally don't like. If the seeds are whole, nothing will happen, so you need to cut them up WHO SAID THAT. They also lose their toxic traits when you cook them, just like my ex.
After a few hours/up to two days your friend will get severe gastroenteritis, you know, vomiting, diarrhea, period cramps. Side effects often include a series of severe symptoms that transform the eyes into a shadow of their old selves. Oh and hair loss. I mean men are balding at 26 nowadays so it's not like people are gonna notice.
The most important aspect of the Funny Substance™ is the fact that it makes blood clot, and we all know what that does.
Two whole seeds are enough to cause severe poisoning in American adults.
While these little guys only grow in tropical regions, they're sometimes made into necklaces and sold, or placed in rosaries and dry arrangements.
Just saying.

Funguary Day 8: Destroying Angel
This mushroom is HIGHLY poisonous. I’m going to put a cut for this one because I’ve written a fairly vivid description of poisoning
People often eat this mushroom, mistaking the young destroying angel for a puffball mushroom (see below) or other edible species. Symptoms appear between 6-24 hours after consuming these mushrooms. Initial symptoms include violent abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. These symptoms usually persist for 6-9 hours. Next there is a symptomless period in which the victim seems to recover. This provides a false sense of security while unbeknownst to the victim, the toxins are severely affecting the liver during this time. The fourth and final stage is a relapse, the toxins have completely destroyed the liver, causing gastrointestinal bleeding, coma, and kidney failure. Victims may “bleed out” due to the destruction of clotting factors in the blood. Death usually occurs within seven days after consumption.

Day 3 of Mayshrooms ✨🍄✨ this day it is deathcap 💀. As its name suggests, this is a VERY poisonous mushroom. I found out a lot about this lil guy when I was looking for reference photos and descriptions and found that they can have caps that range from white to "pale yellowish, olive greenish, or brown". Unfortunately they are tricksters and have been mistaken for the straw mushroom (which is edible). So maybe stay away from anything resembling it...

It’s still October 1st in the states! So I’m still safe. Right?
Anyways, it feels good to finally use my new ink pens.
