funnily enough, the forest scene in detour is better lit than some of the scenes set in a room with lamps AND daylight, but i wanted to lighten it up anyway.

she’s always just teasing in good faith with a good heart behind it because they’re friends, and she likes him, and he’s a dork and honestly so is she! and he’s never really had someone be nice to him like that, he’s so used to jokes being at his expense and too sharp and with veiled disdain behind them that it’s almost normal. so when Scully messes with him, says things like “must be an x-file” in response to his confusion, he visibly stalls.

sketch dump!! I'm finally done with commissions, so there'll be more art soon :D I made these in the meantime, and i'm posting them because they were fun.
some notes:
so a cool thing of animalyfying characters is that they adopt qualities of their species, hence the little tree comic, grey foxes have arboreal habits and their claws are adapted to climbing trees. another fun fact is that i referenced Mulder from a photo of a red fox up in a tree.
i looove Scully's seriousness, i think 8-year-old would've loved her and absorbed her personality, but that kid could never watch txf.
they're very special to me. im on season 7 and im scared because they say i should stop there aaaa.

and I'm also ready to write a 10 pages long essay on why mulder is the most idiotic character in the entire xfiles universe, which is also a "fuck you chris carter" moment for making him and his decisions not accurate to the character (no hate on mulder)

honestly I'm kinda excited but I'm also very cautious. there's so much things that could go wrong but if they don't we might get some hype around and hype won't be that bad considering people will want to watch original txf which means new fans!!! new content!!! we're going to be so back!! (hopefully but I won't let these hopes consume me, I have my doubts lol)

TRUE. like from the second I saw spender I KNEW something something was with him starting from that they casted the same actor that played young csm (and it caught my interest SO MUCH cause woah???? what if they are the same person??? timetravel shit??) well there was no timetravel but I wasn't disappointed even a bit, I reallly enjoyed his tragedy and amount of angst his past and present radiates and I was EXTREMELY surprised that nobody really liked him in the first place like..... girl there's this twinky daddy issues stern guy with insane mental baggage he hides in the closet and you tell me he's BORING????? nahhh
so yeah I'm happy that there's still like three or four people who keep rambling about spender because that boy does deserve love more than anything. someday I will start to ramble with yall I'm just still quite shy lmao
